At Mangonui Harbour not far from the shore, I can hear the waves crashing against the jagged rocks like a crash landing plane and the squawking of seagulls. In the meantime I can see the seaweed swaying soundlessly in the rippling water and little fish like light reflecting off a mirror swimming, coming in with the waves who will devour your leftovers before you can say “oh cute look at the little fish!”
I feel sad though because I can see rubbish tin cans left by people that have been washed up by the jagged rocks and the smell is quite revolting, a bit like rotten, slimy, smelly aglae.
The view of the harbour is astonishing, it’s peaceful, beautiful and calm and when I take a look it makes me feel nice and calm and relaxed
